Award winning and featured in the Guardian, we were optimistic when we released the cross back builder but we weren’t expecting the response we got. And it’s all down to our customers being so vocal in their love for this product. It’s because of this ardent support that we released our custom Waist Apron Builder the following year.
But a lot has changed in these two years. One thing in hospitality uniform which has seen real growth is the rise of denim aprons. We introduced our first denim range back in 2015 and now over a third of all our aprons and half of our front of house collection are denim.
It’s stylish, durable and an easy to cut fabric so it really does tick all of the boxes. It’s been the practical versatility as well as the fashionable aspects of denim which have led to this rise across the hospitality industry. It survives to toughest test of the kitchen whilst also looking the part in any environment be that a country pub or a trendy inner city bar. At Oliver Harvey, we sourced the finest, industrial grade material to manufacture our denim which we then rigorously tested in domestic and commercial washing to ensure shrink risk was minimalised. For the foreseeable future at least, denim’s going nowhere.
We are a company who pride ourselves on being reflective and open when it comes to our products and service. So when we reviewed our products at the end of 2017, what was selling, what was generating engagement with our customers and what we are capable of producing at great value, it was obvious that our most popular apron material needed to be placed with one of our most popular products.
And so the denim bases were born. Available in three colours: grey, indigo and back and in two lengths for the Custom Cross Back the number of possibilities for customisation are larger than ever.
