We’re excited to introduce the Bedford Chef Shirt, designed as an alternative to traditional chef jackets with a focus on sustainability and comfort. Listening to feedback from chefs, we realised the need for a more modern, relaxed alternative to traditional whites. The Bedford Chef Shirt was designed to offer comfort, functionality, and a unique aesthetic. Additionally, we aimed to make the Bedford our first-ever product crafted from sustainable materials, reflecting our continued commitment to environmental responsibility.

The Bedford’s innovative shirt-style hem provides a unique and innovative look specifically designed for kitchen use. This design offers unparalleled comfort and freedom of movement, making it a practical choice for busy chefs. The single-breasted button fastening gives it a classic yet clean appearance, while the chest pocket with a flap and an additional pen pocket add essential functionality. Back darts provide additional shaping for a tailored fit, enhancing both comfort and style. The contrasting red design on the bottom buttonhole adds a subtle yet striking finishing touch, reflecting our attention to detail and devotion to quality.

Oliver Harvey has aspired to create a durable, comfortable chef white made from sustainable materials and this is exactly what we have done with the Bedford Chef Shirt. We have dedicated considerable time to research the highest quality and most eco-friendly fabrics on the market. This journey led us to Tencel, a remarkable material made from sustainable wood pulp. Tencel fibres are not only derived from renewable sources but are also certified compostable and biodegradable, allowing them to fully revert back to nature. This fabric offers exceptional softness and comfort, making it gentle on the skin, while also contributing to a lower carbon footprint. By incorporating Tencel into the Bedford Chef Shirt, we are taking a significant step towards our commitment to environmental responsibility without compromising on quality or performance.
