The Goldsmiths’ Hall played host to Cancer Research UK’s Dining with the Stars event on Monday 20th February in aid of The Bobby Moore Fund.
The fund, named after the legendary World Cup winning former England captain Sir Bobby Moore, aims to raise money to help fight bowel cancer, which he succumbed to at the age of 51 in 1993.
The event, as well as the fund itself, is the brainchild of Stephanie Moore MBE, the widow of Sir Bobby. Hosted by Celebrity Masterchef 2016 contestants Louise Minchin and Alexis Conran, guests were served a one-course meal made by five Michelin-starred chefs.
Clad with Oliver Harvey chef jackets, Jason Atherton, Tom Sellers, Alyn Williams, James Knappett, and Jean-Philippe Blondet each cooked their own course, all of which were incredibly well-received by the guests.
Many stars were out in force in support of the cause, including singer-songwriter Pixie Lott.

The event was an overwhelming success, with a massive £127,500 raised for the Bobby Moore Fund.
Head of Pastry at Restaurant Associates and GBBO: Crème de la Crème competitor Ana Paula Oliver was in attendance and provided a glimpse at some of the delicious courses on offer.

This week, England footballers from past and present showed their unanimous support for a campaign aimed at raising awareness for bowel cancer symptoms and the Bobby Moore Fund. A set of interviews have been recorded by ex-England players including David Beckham, Steven Gerrard and Gary Neville and a poster featuring the likes of Harry Kane and Joe Hart have been prepared is to be released before the next international break.
The untimely death of Sir Bobby Moore still resonates strongly with people young and old, and we were proud to support his legacy and the Fund by providing some of our finest chefswear to the Michelin-starred chefs who prepared the food at Dining with the Stars.
