Oliver Harvey have a new denim apron to add to their expanding range, but it isn’t what you would expect.
We have partnered with Selfridges to create an exclusive denim apron for their Makers for Selfridges collection. Makers for Selfridges is a new own-brand collection of kitchen and homeware that celebrates the quality and craftsmanship of small, British independent brands. Each brand involved in creating products for the collection takes a quintessential household item and interprets it to include the classic Selfridges yellow.
Naturally, as the number one choice for artisan aprons in the UK, we were eager to participate in creating a unique product for the collection. While making a full yellow denim apron would have been cool and vibrant, it is also quite impractical. Instead we opted for a simpler but similarly striking yellow stitch and detailing, which captures the essence of the Selfridges brand without compromising on what makes this denim apron an Oliver Harvey denim apron.
The design we have gone for is similar to the contrast grey denim bib apron but with a key difference - some bold, Selfridges yellow stitching and the distinctive yellow tab. Some things will never change, though; we still use the same high-quality denim you know and love to make this apron.
The pocket design is also slightly altered from the original version. A pen divide has been added to add to the functionality of the apron.
The stitching isn’t the only aspect of this apron that is contrast by nature - the hem and the neck/waist ties are a lighter shade of grey for that added touch of style, and the brass eyelets and press studs complete the look.
This apron is available from Selfridges only, so will not be purchasable directly through Oliver Harvey. You can purchase the Makers for Selfridges denim apron here.
