The Suffolk Chef Jacket Story

The Suffolk Chef Jacket is one of our more distinctive styles thanks to its wrap collar which has a soft curve to its capped stud button fastening; all the other studs are concealed to create a sleek and modern chef jacket. We even include the addition of back darts which give the jacket additional modern lines and shaping, making this one of our most creative designs.

Like every other chef jacket we manufacture, the Suffolk starts of as a collection of fine ingredients, ready for tailoring into a fine garment fit for the most demanding of chefs. We take our bundles of fabric, boxes of buttons and plenty of cotton thread and spend nearly 2 hours crafting it all into a fine, premium chef jacket.

When it came to designing the Suffolk chef jacket, we wanted to take the simple, clean lines of the Cheshire and elevate the new jacket into something quite unique. To do this, we cut the jacket with a completely different neck shape, abandoning the more traditional mandarin collar for a wrap around one. Once we cut the new collar shape, we use a special process to push press studs through the fabric and conceal by stitching over with another layer. We keep one press stud revealed and cap it to create a subtle but modern style feature.

We keep the pen pocket with Oliver Harvey tab but also include extra features like back darts which give this jacket a stunning fit. It is almost finished now and must just go through a quality control check where we ensure that any thread is trimmed and the jacket is built to the correct sizing. All there is lift to do is attach our label and wrap in our branded tissue paper.

You can now add personalisation to Oliver Harvey products online. Simply follow the steps above to start adding personalisation to your products. Once your order is confirmed and you are happy with the sample, we will complete your order. Please expect 10-15 working days for delivery once a logo sample has been approved.

We will always get in touch to confirm the specifics of your personalisation.

If you add a logo to a product there is a £30 set up cost to pay however, once this is set up, you can reuse this logo on future orders. Each application of a logo costs £3.50 and text costs £2.50 per application. If you choose to have a large logo placed on either the front or back of a product there is an additional £5 cost per location.

All costs are based on embroidery. Call us if you require a different form of personalisation.

Washing Details

Care Guidelines

Do not bleach this Chef Jacket. You may dry clean this jacket with any solvent except Trichloroethylene. Machine wash at 60oc. Iron carefully on a 2 Dot (Warm/150oC) heat setting. Tumble dry on a low heat setting.
UK Delivery Options

We have 4 delivery options for orders to mainland UK;

Economy Delivery - 5 Working Days. Under £25 = £5. Over £25 = FREE.

Express Delivery - Next Working Day. Under £25 = £10. Over £25 = £5. Over £150 = FREE.

Express Delivery 10:30 - Next Working Day before 10.30am. Under £25 = £25. Over £25 = £20. Over £150 = £15.

Saturday Delivery - Saturday Delivery. All orders = £30.

Exceptions

Express Delivery options are only available on items where we have stock for express delivery. This is indicated on product pages and at the checkout with a tick icon.

Personalised orders are delivered within 10 working days (upon sign off of logo if applicable).

Non-standard orders are delivered within 5-10 working days.

Non-standard items include: certain chef shoes (as stated on product pages), t-shirts and polo shirts, shirts and blouses and accessories.

International Delivery Options

International and Non-UK Mainland orders will take an additional 2-5 working days on top of the above depending on destination country.

Ireland orders above £150 are free. Orders below £150 will cost £10 (ex. VAT).

Delivery prices for International orders range from £10-60 depending on location, these prices will be shown at the checkout when you select your destination country.

You may be liable to pay an import tax from your host country, your local government office will be able to provide details.
